Columbia Woodworkers Club

About Me

I was Curator of Birds at Riverbanks Zoological Park and Gardens for 33 years.  I retired in 2006, and have been working on my "Bucket List" ever since.  I've never looked back, nor been bored for one second since.  I like to make period furniture reproductions, particularly Federal (inlaid) pieces.  I like the challenge of learning how to master new woodworking techniques, so I have never made the same piece twice.   I am probably the world's slowest woodworker, but I take my time and enjoy learning new processes.  The Chippendale mahogany secretary which I just finished (March 2014) was under construction for 2 1/2 years off-and-on.  I will never make another one.

We sure have been missing you lately! Frank Klausz' seminar was wonderful. I thought I would see you there.
